Why choose Nurture for your dog’s care
Have you been searching for dog vets in Wells or Weston-super-Mare, hoping to find a refreshing kind of veterinary care?
By choosing Nurture, you are choosing to elevate your dog’s care to help them live a long and happy life. Here are just some of the reasons why we think you and your dog will love Nurture:
We're accredited Dog Friendly Clinics
The Dog Friendly Clinic Scheme is a partnership between Dogs Trust and the British Veterinary Behaviour Association, aimed at making the provision of veterinary care the most comfortable experience possible for everyone involved – find out more.
At Nurture, pet wellbeing is at the core of everything we do. Becoming an accredited Dog Friendly Clinic was the natural next step in providing exceptional care for pets & people.
A truly dog-friendly space
Nurture’s unique design moves away from the traditional clinical vet practices. Our top priority when your dog visits us is that they are comfortable and content, and we also strive to ensure you have a relaxing visit too.
Here’s how our team are committed to creating a truly dog-friendly space for you and your beloved companion:
- We have separate waiting areas from cats to minimise stress for your dog
- If your dog needs to stay with us for the day or longer, we have comfortable dog patient wards
- Our whole team are trained in the care that our canine patients will benefit from
- Our dog advocates meet regularly to discuss how we can be ever better in the care we provide for dogs
Longer, sit-down vet consultations
Unlike many vet practices in Wells & Weston-super-Mare, we offer longer 20-minute vet consultations, and your vet will sit down with you at a desk for the first part of your appointment. This can be especially helpful when there is a lot of information to share and take in. Your dog will then receive a thorough nose-to-tail check and your vet will work with you to create the optimal treatment plan.
Dog vets who want to get to know the two of you
We encourage you to see the same vet every time you visit wherever possible so they can get to know the two of you, and you them. Building a close bond with your vet will help your dog to relax, and means your vet will know every detail of their care. Meet our dog vets.
Vet Dentists in Wells & Weston-super-Mare
Our nurturing vet dentists based at our Wells & Weston-super-Mare Practices can keep your dog’s oral health in tip top condition. A healthy mouth equals a content dog so enquire about our vet dentist service for dogs.
Keyhole spays for female dogs
Laparoscopic, or ‘keyhole’ surgery allows our team of veterinary surgeons to complete minimally invasive procedures. The most popular, routine procedure we offer is laparoscopic neutering, sometimes known as a keyhole spay or a female dog spay.
Benefits for this type of surgery include reduced discomfort, smaller surgical wounds, less internal trauma, less scarring, and faster recovery times. Learn more about keyhole surgery at Nurture
